Another wish come true! It's really hot out this midday, so we are inside our lovely granite suite which has a fantastic window that makes you feel like you're sitting outside. Mike was doing some picture editing with his back toward the window when I sounded the "monkey alarm." There was a baboon walking past right outside. we resisted the urge to open any doors and scare it, because they are quite skittish. When we lost sight of it from our window, we literally dashed out the front door (taking care to put the baboon latch on the door) and headed in the direction he was going. We entered the main lodge to keep track of him from the deck there. We found him stealing some fruit from the kitchen and eating it on the roof. Surely he knew we caught him doing something bad, because he was on the move again. We tracked him for a while over towards the pool of the next camp and eventually he lost us.
